Sunday Morning Worship

Sunday Morning Worship –  EVERY SUNDAY MORNING 11:00am.

During this hour of corporate worship our congregation uses scripture, prayer, music, and proclamation to give glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; to unify our congregational family in the presence of the Almighty; and to encourage one another on to the life of service we have been called to through the gift of grace given to us at the cross.

Community Worship Services –  THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AS ANNOUNCED.

Our congregation has a long tradition of joining with other churches in our community, and continues to do so for various seasons and services.   Wednesday noon worship services during the season of Lent are held at the various churches with each participating pastor preaching a service and concluding before Palm Sunday. An annual music service joining the sanctuary choirs of all the churches is usually held at the end of August.  A community Thanksgiving service is held at one of the churches the Sunday before Thanksgiving.  In each of these worship gatherings an offering is taken to benefit a local missions ministry – Helping Hands Ministry of Amherst County or Amherst Churches working together for Christmas Cheer Baskets.

Special Services –  THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AS ANNOUNCED.

We have many groups within our congregation that present special services throughout the year.  Special services may include presentations by our Children’s Choirs, Youth Choirs, Handbell Choirs, or Sanctuary Choir.  Other services may focus on the work of our local missions groups, our cooperating missions partners, or visiting/returning missionaries.  On occasion, there may be a concert by local or visiting musicians.
