Education & Fellowship Ministries

Sunday School – Small group Bible discussion classes for every age group:  Infants, 2 & 3 Year Olds, 4 & 5 Year Olds, 1st & 2nd grades, 3rd – 5th grades, Youth, Young Adults & Couples, and several  classes for mature couples, men, and women.   MEETS EVERY SUNDAY MORNING 9:45am-10:45am.

Youth Group – A time for youth in grades 6 – 12 to fellowship, discuss, and immerse themselves in the Word of God in a way that applies to their lives.  MEETS EVERY SUNDAY SEPTEMBER – MAY 6:30pm-8:00pm.

Coffee & Bible Study – Intense small group Bible discussion for adults led by the Pastor.  MEETS EVERY WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER – APRIL 7:00pm-8:00pm.

Disciple Kidz – An informal time of games, crafts, and activities for children to study Biblical truths and concepts in a creative manner.  MEETS 1st & 3rd  (& 5th) WEDNESDAYS SEPTEMBER – APRIL (7:30pm-8:15pm).

Keenagers – A fellowship of Senior Adults meeting monthly for a covered dish lunch preceded by a relevant educational program or entertainment by a local group or from among its members.  MEETS 2nd TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH @ 10:30am.

Vacation Bible School – A week-long ministry opportunity held in June for children from 2 years old through the 5th grade.  An intense and organized week of Bible study, worship, games, crafts, recreation, missions, and refreshments centered around a kid-friendly theme, taught by the adults and youth of Madison Heights Baptist Church.  USUALLY THE WEEK PRECEEDING FATHER’S DAY (9:00am-Noon).

Youth Vacation Bible School – Intense summer Bible study for youth in grades 6 through 12.  Also includes creative activities, games, sports, and local field trips/fun activities to foster fellowship and community.  TBA DURING SUMMER MONTHS.

Adult Vacation Bible School – Bible study during the summer taught by the members of MHBC based on a common theme or truth that is woven throughout scripture.  EVERY WEDNESDAY FROM MIDDLE OF JUNE TO MIDDLE OF AUGUST 7:00pm-8:00pm.

Men & Boys’ Staunton River Camping Trip –  A long tradition for the men and boys of Madison Heights where the majesty of God and the importance of Christian brotherhood is emphasized through camping, fishing, canoeing, softball, hiking, games, and Bible study.  EACH JULY – USUALLY 3rd OR 4th WEEK –  SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

Music Week @ Eagle Eyrie –  A week for 4th graders through 9th graders to gather with fellow Virginia Baptists to “try-out” new and different ways to contribute to and engage in worship, publicly and privately.  Opportunities include choir, orchestra, photography, handbells, interpretive dance, piano, guitar, banners, set-design, service projects, and many other activities.  EACH JULY – USUALLY 2nd or 3rd WEEK – MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
