Worship Arts

“Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!  -Psalm 150:6
There are a variety of ways to use your artistic abilities in worship at MHBC–see which one fits you best!

Choir

Our adult choir leads us in worship weekly through congregational hymns and choral anthems. They are mix of trained musicians, lifelong choir members, and newly connected participants–in other words, there is space for a variety of skill levels! Practices are at 7:30pm on Thursdays. Please reach out to our Music Director for info.

Handbells

If you are looking for a cooperative opportunity to rehearse and lead worship with a committed team of ringers, this may be the fit for you! Reading music is required. Rehearsals are at 6:30pm on Thursdays–reach out to our Music Director for info.

Watercolor Classes

We have many talented painters in our congregation, and offer opportunities to train others! Classes are scheduled periodically throughout the year, so reach out to the church office to obtain details on the next session.

AV/Sound

The modern worship service requires trained individuals to maintain levels and balances on mics and instruments, and to progress video and slides in the service. At MHBC, we rely on a team of volunteers to accomplish this weekly, and we are regularly looking for others to get involved! If you’d like to learn and serve in this way, reach out to the church office to get in contact with our team.
