Rev. Josh Beeler
Pastor
Josh has served as Pastor of Madison Heights Baptist Church since 2023. Prior to coming to MHBC, Josh served as Associate Pastor at Central Baptist Church of Fountain City in Knoxville, TN and Minister of Youth and Outreach at Port Norfolk Baptist in Portsmouth, VA. Josh grew up in Chesapeake, VA, got his B.A. at Old Dominion University, and holds a Master of Divinity from the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. Josh has been happily married to his wife, Sherry, since 2011. Together, they have two sons—Jayden and Brody. Josh enjoys community, traveling, hiking, board games, reading, and disc golf. He also enjoys cooking good food and eating with others.

Catherine White
Director of Music
Catherine is a native of Forest,Virginia. She graduated from Lynchburg College with a B.A. in Music Education, and from the University of Tennessee with a Masters in Organ Performance. Catherine has served as pianist for Forest United Methodist Church in Forest and as organist at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church in Lynchburg and in the same capacity at Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. Catherine began her service at Madison Heights in October 1991. She is married to Michael White and they have a daughter, Michaela.

Rev. Randy Bower
Youth Pastor
Randy is a native of the Hampton Roads area. He graduated from Bluefield College with a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy. He received the Master of Divinity with Religious Education from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. Randy started in full-time ministry at First Baptist Church Graham, NC as Minister of Youth and Education. He also served as Minister of Children and Youth at Altamahaw Baptist Church in Elon, NC. Randy and his family then moved to Lynchburg, VA where he served as Minister of Youth and Education at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church concluding his tenure there of 20 years as Senior Pastor. Randy began serving as Youth Pastor at Madison Heights Baptist Church in October 2019. He is married to Sharon Walters-Bower and they have two adult children, Stacie and Dane. Rev. Amy Hall
Associate Pastor of Community Missions
Amy is a lifelong resident of the Lynchburg/Madison Heights area. Amy brings a creative and community-minded approach to ministry, with a passion for connecting the church with the wider community. She holds a BS in Business from Bob Jones University and an Advanced Certificate in Women’s Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has received extensive training in church planting, missional movements, and missional entrepreneurship. Amy is a certified mental health coach with specializations in trauma-informed coaching and suicide prevention and is an endorsed chaplain through Baptist Chaplaincy Relations. She is also the founder of Shalom Creatives, a healing arts organization helping individuals and communities create, grow, and heal. Amy is married to Hunter, and they have one son, Matthew. Karey Garrison
Administrative Assistant
Karey is a native of Lynchburg, but lived in many places across the country before returning to Central Virginia in 2017. She is a graduate of Mary Washington College and Union Theological Seminary/Presbyterian School of Christian Education. Karey’s husband (David) is a Presbyterian pastor whose ministry has taken the family to Florida, Alaska, Missouri, and North Carolina. David and Karey have two almost grown children – Peter and Meg. Most recently, Karey served as school secretary at Monelison Middle School. Previous church positions have been in Human Resources, Administration, and Youth Ministry in Richmond and Orlando. In her time outside of work, Karey sings with the Jefferson Choral Society, volunteers at the Academy Center of the Arts, and is involved at her church leading women’s Bible study and young adult ministry, as well as singing in the choir. She enjoys baking, scrapbooking, shopping, and spending time at the beach. Click here to email Karey
