Community Festivals – Organized events to engage our church and our neighborhood in fellowship and community. Activities are designed for all ages.  Currently those festivals include the Fall Firepit and Chili Cookoff and the Christmas Festival/Open House on the first Sunday of the Advent season.

Helping Hands Ministry – Funded by many of the churches in Amherst County, this ministry is administered through our church office. It is designed to help citizens of Amherst County who need an occasional helping hand with necessities such as food, electric bills, rent, and water bills (when children or medical needs are present). Donations are always appreciated.

Community Cheer Baskets – A major event in the life of Amherst County churches, large boxes of food are delivered at Christmas to more than 150 families in our county with great need. Food and money donations are appreciated, and time can be donated on the Saturday before Christmas to sort, pack, and deliver food.

Youth headed out on mission adventure.

Youth Mission Trips – Most years our youth are challenged to immerse themselves in a week-long trip to give of themselves to those in need. Sometimes these trips are closer to home (Danville, North Carolina) and other years they are farther away (Florida). These trips can include anything from working with children, presenting music programs to nursing homes and homeless shelters, or working on the homes of elderly people and those in need. We also participate in Mission Madness coordinated by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Virginia which is an intense weekend of missions in the spring in a nearby Virginia location.
